T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Kia Sorento- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha T1 trailer wiring harness on a 2022 Kia Sorento. Adding four-pole trailer wiring to any hitch install or if you already have a hitch installed on your vehicle, it's worth picking one of these up because you may not tow trailers a lot, but if you do have to get maybe something to move or just pull a small utility trailer, you're gonna need this to have light signals on that trailer to keep you safe and legal. And the way this works, it ties in directly to your turn signals, running lights and brake lights from your tail lights and just tease into it. And that way you don't have to cut or splice any of your factory wiring, and this is all module protected as well. And that simply means if there's any back feed that's not gonna go through here and damage your vehicle's wiring, it also has an inline fuse and that way you have double protection. Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2023 Kia Sorento- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Tekonsha 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2023 Kia Sorento. Now adding 4-pole trailer wiring harness is a great option on any vehicle that you've installed a hitch on because if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, you're gonna need this to transmit the lights signals from your vehicle to the trailer and that's gonna include your running lights, your turn signals, as well as your brake lights. And this gets really nice because it plugs into your factory style plugs behind the taillights and then really all you have to do is kind of get everything mounted up, run a power wire to a 12 volt power from the battery and that's really about it. It also has a module and an inline fuse so if you ever have a back feed from either your trailer or a short in your car it's not gonna damage any of the factory electronics. Overall, this is a pretty easy installation because it is pretty well plugged into the taillights. Now you are gonna have to connect a few butt connectors and you might need a heat shrink gun or a heat gun to get your heat shrink connectors all cinched up. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha OEM trailer wiring harness here on our 2018 Kia Sorento. So this is what our trailer connector looks like installed on the vehicle, now, granted, you will need to come up with your own way to physically mount the trailer connector. We'll go over this a little bit further in the video, but we're using a series of brackets, which we do sell at etrailer. It gives you a nice clean, finished install look. So this particular harness here provides us with a seven way trailer connector. Now the seven way trailer connectors are going to be required for some of those larger trailers with electric brakes. more

And today on our 2019 Kia Sorento, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness with a Brake Controller Adapter and 7-way Plug. With Sorento's being pretty capable SUVs, a lot of people use them to do a lot of different things, which does include towing some relatively large trailers, actually. And what's really cool about this kit is it's going to allow us to do a couple of different things.One being, since it gives us that 7-way plug, we're going to have the larger connector here, that way we're able to plug our trailer directly into it. And not only that, but it's going to give us that brake controller adapter plug upfront underneath the driver's dash. So if your trailer has electric brakes, you're going to easily and conveniently be able to hook up a brake controller, that way you can pull it and stop it safely.What I do really like about this kit is the fact that it utilizes the factory tow package plug, so really makes things easy. more

Curt Powered Tail Light Converter Installation - 2019 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2019 Kia Sorento, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt powered taillight converter with four-pole flat trailer connector. All right, this is what it's going to look like installed. This is going to give us all of our necessary lighting functions for our trailer: Stop, turn signals, and running lights. It puts out 5 amps for our turn signals and brake lights, and it puts out 7.5 amps for our running lights.To begin our install, we're going to need to remove the tail lights. So first, we open up our hatch, and there's actually a panel right here on each side are exactly the same. Going to remove these panels to gain access to the nuts that are holding the tail lights on. more

Part number C56332.This is what our harness will look like when it's installed. It's long enough to reach the center of the vehicle, to plug into whatever accessories you may have and provide lights to that. This is a 4 pole connector, so it's gonna provide you with left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and break lamps. It's gonna be DOT compliant in all states.Additionally, there's a dust cap that comes included with it to help keep out any dirt and debris, so you have a long-lasting connection. You can attach the connector to your hitch using the dust cap to help keep it up, out of the way, and from dragging down on the road.This is an easy installation because it plugs directly into your factory wiring, and it goes to a module and fuse. more

Today on this 2018 Kia Sorento, we're going to review and install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness from Tekonsha, part number 118583. This is what the wiring harness looks like when it's installed. As you can see, there's not all that much to see, but this is our 4-pole flat, built-in cover. As you can see, it comes with a cover to match up to it, keep the dust and corrosion out of it. You can it as a hook to hold it place, or if you can also get an optional bracket that'll work with this 4-pole connector as well. Our wires are built into a module and two T connections that go onto your vehicle and plus a power wire going up front.Let's go ahead and take a more detailed look at these parts before we install it. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Kia Sorento we're going to be installing Curt's Four Pull Flat Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, Part Number C56332.This wiring harness is going to provide your trailer with all the necessary lighting, including the left-turn signal, right-turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps. It's going to plug right into your factory wiring, so it's going to be really easy to install.On the edge of your connector you'll find that it has a dust cap to keep out any dirt, debris and moisture so you have a long-lasting connection. It features a control module to provide you with all the necessary signals and it's fuse protected, so if there's any faults on your trailer such as shorts, it won't affect your vehicle, as it will just open the fuse that goes to that control module.We'll begin our installation underneath the vehicle on the driver's side. We'll need to remove the underpanel here by removing the four clips at the bottom with the trim panel remover tool. Use the trim panel remover tool to pop out the center button and then just pull the clip out. Now you remove the two plastic nuts located on the inside of your panel with a 15 millimeter socket. more

Here's what a wiring looks like installed. This wiring harness gives us a four pole flat connector, which gives us the basic lighting functions that are required by law in order for us to safely and legally tow a trailer. Off of our connector here, this is our ground wire. This gives us our necessary ground between our Sorento and our trailer for all of our lighting functions to work properly. Next to that, this is our taillight connector. This takes care of our taillight and running light circuit. On this wire, we have a total power output of six amps. more

We'll have our tail light circuit right here, that is our running light circuit as well. Next to that, we will have our left turn signal and left brake light, followed by our right turn signal and right brake light. This pin over here, that is our ground, and that will provide the necessary ground connection between our Sorento and our trailer, so the lights work properly. Now on our tail light and running light circuit, we have a maximum power output of 7 1/2 amps, which is more than adequate to tow a trailer that even has several incandescent light bulbs on it. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2011 Kia Sorento, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, with Four Pull Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56163. Here's what this wiring is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see it's easily accessible, down here at the hitch. If you want you can pick up a mounting bracket in order to mount this up, so that it's not tight here, that way it's over to the side. This four pull wiring harness is going to do a great job at making sure that you have four pull power here at the rear of the vehicle, so you can hook up to a trailer, or a cargo carrier that has lights on it. This wiring harness is going to do a good job of protecting your vehicle's wiring harness because it draws its power directly from the battery, as opposed to from the circuit of the vehicle itself. It just uses the signal from the circuit in order to know what it needs to send power out through that circuit on the wiring harness. The circuits for the brake and turn signals are rated at 5 amps. The circuit for the running lights is also rated at 5 amps, which should be plenty to power any lights on a smaller trailer. Now, let's show you how to install this wiring harness. more

Today we're going to be reviewing and installing the Taconcha T-One vehicle wiring harness for the factory tow package with a four pole flat trailer connector, part number 118269 for the 2016 Kia Sorento. Here we've got everything that comes with our T-One connector kit. Right here we've got the instructions which give you instructions for both the Sorento and the Hyundai Veracruz. We've got some zip ties for tying all our loose wiring up. We've got double-sided sticky tape which will go on the back of our module here. We've also got this little self-tapper screw. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2003 Kia Sorento were going to be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with a Four-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118307. Now to make things a little bit easier to get to the plug thats underneath the passenger side of the vehicle here were going to go ahead and lower the spare tire down out of the way. Now that weve got the spare tire removed down out of the way lets go ahead and point out the location that were looking for. Its right here over on the passenger side. This right here is the plug that well need to connect our new T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness in with. Were going to first need to remove the dust cap or cover thats on it currently. To do that well push in on the tab right here and gently pull outward on the cap. Well then take the wiring harness line it up and plug it back together. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Kia Sorento C56151- Video
Today on our 2015 Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56151. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the underbody panel on the driver's side. The underbody panel here on the driver's side has four pushpin fasteners where we'll screw the center of the fastener out and then remove it. You may need to hold the outer portion of the fastener as you unscrew the center. Now once we have those four fasteners out, we'll set them aside for now and then we'll go ahead and pull the panel down. Now it's held in position with two pushpin fasteners going over metal studs that come through the bottom of the vehicle floorboard. A quick snap or pop will free them up. Now with the panel down and out of the way, we can see the two manufacturer's electrical connection points. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Kia Sorento- Video
Today, on our 2007 Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Curt, T connector wiring kit, part number C56151. We've already gone ahead and lowered the spare tire out of the way to make the installation a little bit easier. This will get reinstalled after the installation is finished. According to the directions that come with the package, it says that you will locate the two wiring connections on the driver side of the vehicle. One this particular model, a 2007 Kia Sorento EX, the wiring location is actually on the passenger side as shown here. There are two different plugs that we'll be using. Both of the plugs have a fractured plug already installed on them to keep any dirt and debris getting in them. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2012 Kia Sorento, we will be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number C56163. We'll start our installation by gaining access to the back of the vehicle. Then we will need to remove both tail lights by removing the two screws that hold them in place. With the screws removed, we can remove the tail light. Just pulled the tail light straight back toward us, being careful not to break the alignment tabs. We can then disconnect the factory wiring harness from the tail lamp. Then we will set the tail light to decide. With the driver side done, we can now go to the passenger side of the vehicle and repeat that process. With The taillights out of the way, we now need to run the wires for our new wiring harness. more
